Rubber boot repair???

I discovered after my Sundays hunt that I have punctured the sole of my Lacrosse Burly ATSs. Any suggestions as far as the best method of repair??

I was thinking, silicone or a plug for an automotive tire. My guess is the silicone won't last, and the plug would be uncomfortable on the inside, even if I could trim it down.

I use Shoe GOO. Comes in a large tube. Works for me. Put some on my rubber Lacross boots three years ago and its still holding up. Most chain sporting goods have it, Meijers, etc. A good adhesive slicone should work just as well though.

I use the shoe goo on my alhpa burlys Chris it works good..

Yup, shoe goo or aquaseal (wader repair stuff). Both work as well as anything. I think it depends on where the leak is found. If it's a flex place on the boot, good luck.

The leak is around the ball of my big toe, in the sole. A small hole.

Where can I get shoe goo? And is marine goop the same idea/thing?

Try Canadian Tire or even Wal-Mart.

I think it is Chris..it smells and looks just like it..ive used both they seem to be the same to me..they both work well..

Yes, it is the same thing. I think they are all the same; just named different. The good thing is the patches last a long time.

Goop is good stuff. I repaired my winter (rubber) hunting boots with a good dollop of it about four years ago and it held just fine.

It is great stuff. I have repaired neoprene waders with Goop and it is still holding, years later. Canadian Tire will have it.

UPDATE: Shoe goo to the rescue!!! So far it is working great. My feet are staying dry and I have 99.5% of the tube left.

That stuff is awesome used it to repair boots,tent, jacket always have a tube when away from home hunting.
