Something I always wanted to know about the trigger.
There is a dial with a hex key in it on the side of the trigger mechanism does it do anything?
I thought adjustment but have never done anything to it for fear of doing damage to my bow.

No adjustment. As for travel, got into a debate a few years ago on another forum so I rigged up some small bungee cords and a piece of bowstring so I could false cock the Emax and use a dial calipers against the trigger and inside trigger guard. I found .081" travel before the bow 'fired'. YMMV.

Just sent my bow to Danny Miller, He is going to sweeeeet,en the trigger for me, what a great guy to deal with. Thanks for the tips everyone, you guys are wonderful.

Just got my trigger back from Dan Miller today, all I can say is WOW! That thing is now almost creep free, smooth and light. I could not be happier. Thank you Dan Miller!

Casper...I have an Ibex and saw your initial post that Miller wouldn't work on it and my first thought was "oh well...guess I'll have to deal with it" then I saw that he was gonna work on it...and then he fixed it...my next thought was "well, maybe I should call him about mine and see if he'll fix mine as well" That was why I asked you what happened. I don't know what "pissing match" you were referring to. I kinda thought the forums where for communicating, asking questions, seeking info, helping others when possible, etc...my bad

OMC MOOSE, I am very sorry, it's my fault, I made one little suggestion on another site and this one guy just beat it to death. I would be happy to explain the trigger fix to you and everyone else. Once again I am so sorry, its been a long day. Dan said he would not shorten the sear engagement, and that was my biggest complant, but affter talking to him, he said he could make it better for me, I was just suprised at how much better. I would highly recomend it to you if you are having problems with yours.

Casper and OMC, calm down.
I was talking to Danny this afternoon and I can tell you that he did not address any creep (the slack in a trigger mechanism before it releases). He may have made the trigger a bit lighter and a bit cleaner but he did not reduce the trigger travel. In my bows I have not even thought about altering their characteristics. They may not be perfect but they are more than good enough to kill with.

Boo, I was just trying tell you all that it's well worth having the trigger done, my trigger was terrible, now it's perfect. Thats all I was saying I thought it would help other people that are fussy about triggers as well. Sorry for the confusion.

I quite understand. No worries Casper. Sometimes I think mine are too but I never feel one imperfection when I'm killing something, go figure!

Casper...no harm no foul...I think I understand now what the deal was with Dan Miller. My trigger has (what I consider to be) a good bit of travel. I can deal with the travel, but within that travel, there are 2 spots where it seems to hang up, or "catch". That sounds like something that Dan could address (the hanging spots). I'll have to give him a call. Thanks for expanding on your explanation...take care

Casper what year model is your Equinox? I have a '09 and the trigger seems to be doing well.
