I just pulled it from someones basement, not sure if it is an escaped pet or a snake native to Here, south west Ontario.
About a foot long, pinky size in diameter. Didn't strike when I grabbed it, but wound around me pretty darn quick.
Thanks!

Could be, some variations of both the corn & milk snake are very similar in appearance according to google images; the corn snake is a constrictor...is the milk snake?
Looks like a baby corn snake or dark phase milk snake.I have 2 milk snakes and 4 corns snakes but all are color morphs so I cant really compare to that one.
You mean that banded one or the big silvery one right next to it?????

He ate a frog. I can post a picture of what happened when he got nervous but you don't want to see that.

Lucky you! We have coral snakes here but many more like your pic. I can never remember the damn saying, but it's "Red to yellow, kill a fellow; red to black, venom lack"
Makes me chuckle, I recently followed a corn snakes progress off my deck w/ S&W .357 w/ rat shot while the kid looked it up on the puter. I keep 3 chambers w/ the real deal and 3 for snakes. Highly recommend CCI .357 rat shot!
The snake was lucky he was faster than it was, lol. I hate the damn things w/ a passion, but let the non venomous live.
That is definately a milk snake Pyd. We don't have wild corn snakes living in Ontario.
I've caught many milk snakes in these areas. They are harmless, but often vibrate their tail(suggesting a rattlesnake). They are one of my favourite snakes.
