Got another one!

Re: Got another one!
Thanks for the replies!
Went back this morning and located the arrow. It was 21 yards from the base of the ladder, so the deer was probably about 19 yards away when I shot. No damage to the arrow or broadhead, so I'm at a bit of a loss as to the small exit hole?
I suppose that's probably very tough skin on the leg and it just didn't tear any.
I took a pic of the stand looking back from where the arrow was - The ground is dry now, so I was able to drive my truck in. The old blind in the background is the cover for the shooting bench now. Not much left of it, but it keeps the seat dry. Those sticks in the food plot are my yardage markers for the blind - 30 yard "in range" zone.
I also went to where the deer went down and paced the distance back to the shot location - 31 yards by the actual path he took. (he had made a small circle downhill as he went down)
Repeated my prayers to Creator at the sight where he fell, giving my thanks for the gift of meat and asking Creator to guide the deer's spirit on the journey ahead.
Came home, cleaned the arrow, gave it a few passes on the sharpening stone (I'm out of replacement blades and have had a hard time finding new ones - currently in the process of ordering more directly from the manufacturer), and I'll be ready to hunt again this evening. (I'll probably use the camera this trip)
Bet my son will insist on tagging along today.

Re: Got another one!
Great job on the buck, and i like your stand setup.
If i'm not hunting i'm fishing, and if i'm not fishing i'm wishing.
Re: Got another one!
I agree. It would be a bit hard to pass on him. Nice buck. I still haven't seen a buck that size this season yet. Congrats.
