The story.....
I was in my stand at 600am. About 630am I see a deer entering the woods, its a buck. He pases to my left(good direction) I say MEEEE and he stops, I adjust aim and fire. The arrow hits with a crack. The buck does the "kick" and runs away very low to the ground.
I get down from my stand to find my arrow. HUGE blood trail but no arrow. I wait a long 20 minutes and start to follow the blood trail, no problem doing this. I followed the blood for about 100 yards and there he is, dead.
I later found my arrow about 50 foot from the deer and upright.
When Idid the "cut and dice " at home I found the arrow entered on his left side, hit the heart and exited between the front legs "1 1/2 dia hole" it hit his right leg at the elbow and broke it, hence the low run. I did find one of the broadhead blades in the elbow.
Phoenix, gold tip2 arrows, Meatseeker broadheads, 100 yard recovery, with the blood trail as it was I was suprised it went that far.
