Wow! My brothers black lab did the same thing a few years ago. Nice vet bill. 2 weeks later, you guessed it, same thing, we wondered if same porcupine this time, 3 guys, big leather gloves and pair of pliers . He never did it again.
Life is good, treat with respect and honour!

Looks like an english bull terrier. Probably grabbed the porqupine and started shaking it. Those dogs don't feel much pain. Although that looks awful.
The dog would have to be anesthetized with injectables because you couldn't get a tube down its throat.

Threes guys, a couple pairs of pliers and a lot of cold water to drink. And some 151 over proof for the dog, some on wounds and a lot down the dogs throat first. Been there done that before. That baby is severely load. After a few good slugs of 151 the dog will let you do anything, believe me it works.

This reminds me of the time I had to force feed my dane a feeding of Vodka. To this day I cant bring out a Vodka bottle without him high-tailing it outta here!!
(Please no hate mail. Vodka + another ingredient= one of the only ways to counter act glycol poisoning. I dont get the Dane tanked on weekends for poops and giggles.)

Gun control is like trying to reduce drunk driving by making it tougher for sober people to own cars.

Seriously guys-----if you ever have to remove quills from a dog----cut the end off of the part furthest from skin--first--
it helps release the tension of the barb [lets the air out of quill]. Makes it a lot easier on both you and the suffering
animal. Been there done that--not fun.

Re: Porcupine beats Pit Bull.....
I'm sure glad we dont have them here. My rottweiler likes to grab things and shake them until their dead. With cats I don't have a problem but with a porcupine I would.
