first impression....vortex

Post by vh64 »

I just had to give you my first impression. I just got my vortex and opened it up checked it out. First off I just got into crossbows in April of this year. I bought a tenpoint carbon fusion cls and I really like it. Have been shooting the you know what out of it. But what strikes me the most from my Excalibur is how amazingly simple it is. I can see first hand why it should be reliable and all the good things that I've heard and read. And it's not at all that wide like some people try and make you believe. I'm extremely impressed. I've got a feeling that this bow is going to see a lot more front line action than my other one. I just can't get over how easy it looks like to work on, just routine things. It's so light. Everything looks great on it..
the finish the machining. Sorry guys but I really love bows. I can't wait to shoot it. Vince.
Love my VORTEX !!!!!

welcome to the forum. The anti excalibur guys always use the width and the no anti dry fire device as reasons for not going the excal route. Truth is some people just hate whats popular.

Yep, you can't go wrong with an Excalibur!
I also have the Vortex and I love it for many reasons including how DEADLY accurate it is!!

Almost forgot. I got it all put together what an awesome bow !!! Put a JBK custom fast flight string on it and the s5 string dampeners, and a top mount quiver also a rangemaster pro scope. It's ready to kick some you know what. I'm very proud of it. Tomorrow I'm going to shoot it and put it up against my carbon fusion. In the category of lightness the vortex has won, in the category of ease to work on and maintain the vortex has won. As far as looks they are tied, they both look drop dead awesome. The vortex is up by 2 already and I haven't started shooting yet.

I got my excalibur 2 weeks ago, and I can't say enough good things about it.
Up until I got my excalibur, I had only shot a crossbow ONCE, now I try and shoot it every day!
