Some tips for buying a SxS shotgun...

Sure wish I read this before I got this gun!
A tiny bit of wood damage, but the opening lever seem to be in a good spot, may just be the rust holding it there though.

Pyd, there seems to be a little bit of bluing damage there too. May affect value.

I bought a 12 S x S that was European. It just had symbols, later i bulged the barrels ! The gun was not nitrogen proofed ! It had Damcus barrels ! Great upland game and ducks over decoys gun but not for reloaded trap and skeet . Ray

I was recently given another tip on how to check action tightness. Close the barrels on a sheet of paper, thus clamping the paper between the barrels the breech face (standing breech). The paper should be locked in there like a vice. If you can pull it out, it might be time to consider having the action tightened.
