There is very lttle difference in wieght when you go with black walnut or maple. The laminates are noticable heavier. Some has to do with where in the tree the blank came from. Don's is from the center and bless with the tiger stripes. Now Scott's is from the outer part of the tree and is naturally lighter but no tiger stripes. Everything has their pluses and minus's depending on what your looking for. Great day is'nt it.
