Welcome to the forum. You're gonna love that new Excal!

No such thing as a dumb question...ask away! I've never heard of anyone paper tuning their crossbow. Sight in the scope and start punchin' holes in your target. Don't shoot the same spot twice once sighted in cause arrows get exspensive to replace.

Happy hunting and safe shooting to you. :)

Welcome to the forum. I second what J said. What broadheads did you have in mind for your setups?

Welcome! Never heard of anyone paper tuning a excal, as mentioned earlier dont shoot at the same dot  A couple of things you want to make sure of is that you have an arrow on the rail before you shoot and you keep your thumb below the rail  Keep the questions coming, lots of knowledgeable folks hear that are more than willing to help. Your gonna love your bow!

First off welcome to the forum .
You are experienced with verticals so you will have no problem with crossbows . If your spine is too stiff you can run into some problems . Remember the spine deflection is calculated on a 28 inch span . So your spine really stiffens up at 20 inches .
Broadheads can be a really confusing thing with crossbows . I tried many years ago my thunderheads from my compound . They flew like crap !!!
The person whom has done alot of testing with BH`s is Sumner on crossbows .
Fletching is another personal choice . But what does have to happen is a offset or the arrows will be inconsistent with BH`s . They will shoot great with fieldtips but confuse the beegeebers out of you with BH`s .
Final piece of advice . DON`T SHOOT AT THE SAME SPOT TWICE !! Unless you own stocks in a arrow shaft company .
