Geez . . .turn that weapon over to me. Just kidding. :lol:

I've done that more times than I care to admit . . .and I don't admit to it either, unless there's a witness. :shock:

Get back out there buddy and make the next one count! :mrgreen:

Hang your head high and take it as a big lesson. Go get another one and get that meat. Good Luck, have a successful hunt and a safe hunt.

Keep your head held high. It happens to the best of us, even dad && I. Don't let it bring you down.

Mark losing a battle does not necessarily mean losing the war. I reiterate "From the Halls of Montezuma to the shores of Tripoli" :!:

...We fight our country's battles
In the air, on land, and sea;
First to fight for right and freedom
And to keep our honor clean;
We are proud to claim the title
Of UNITED STATES MARINES.

Our flag's unfurled to every breeze,
From dawn to setting sun;
We have fought in every clime and place
Where we could take a gun;
In the snow of far off northern lands
And in sunny tropic scenes;
You will find us always on the job --
The UNITED STATES MARINES.

Here's health to you and to our Corps
Which we are proud to serve;
In many a strife we've fought for life
And never lost our nerve;
If the Army and the Navy
Ever look on Heaven's scenes;
They will find the streets are guarded
By UNITED STATES MARINES.

Oorah! GET SOME! kill, Kill, KILL!

What is so funny about this, is Sumner and I were talking that day about shooting through blind mesh. You can see the bottom two blades of the G5 Montec pierced fully with the top blade not completely in the fabric. No wonder my arrow did goofy things and, as I said then, knocked the doe down like I hit her spine high.

I did not make any of the same mistakes I made the 15th today...but then again I did not see any deer today as the woods were a yahoo combat zone of rifle fire. So much for an unmolested BOWS ONLY Archery season.
