Dagrizz knife broken in now! - Excalibur Crossbow Forum
The deer were not moving at all early and it was 10:00 before I saw the first squirrel. Shortly after I had a couple deer come in and then spook off for some reason. Don't believe they saw or winded me? Then right after that had a couple of different ones work there way up from the bottom I was looking over. One knew something wasn't right with me and came in to investigate. Well curiosity killed the cat (or doe) this time. At about 25 yards she locked in on me good and at that instant I let one fly. What I thought was a high shot at first, later proved to be right on the money. The Rage 2 blade did its job but I was surprised at very little of a blood trail. About 50 yards into the search I found the back half of my arrow and that was where I found the first blood. Made a big circle and found her about another 75 yards away in a thicket. The shot was quartering towards and obviosly not a pass through. The opposite hind leg was the stopping point where I later retrieved the rest of my arrow and a still in good shape Rage broadhead.
And here about to put my new knife to work. Thanks Dagrizz
Congratulations GP on Murdering that Doe Them Excalburs are so fast you never know where they hit till ya look at the shot placement later but what we do know is they are deadly and accurate
Congrats Todd!!! Nice looking doe you found there!!!
The only bad thing about that southern weather are all those nasty flies I see on the south end of your deer. The two things that bug me more than those are skeeters and yotes.
