We put a dummy camera in a lockbox back on the wall and positioned some SD cameras high in tress thinking the S.O.B. might comeback. Low and behold the perp came back , climbed up on the ladder that he took on his first stealing visit, and pried the camera box off the wall. Also took a feeder that was chained to a tree.
As you can see he wore a ski mask to cover his face , We do have a person who saw a car marked out on the main road. No plate number but a decent description. So we are looking for the car.
Needless to say I am a bit angry. He is going mess up and we will get him but it is sure furstrating.
Place the camera on the trail that he's probably using to enter,he probably doesnt put the mask on till just before he reaches the site where he's gonna steal the equipment from.
Valid point . I can`t see most people wanting to wear their mask close to the road and also it has got to get hot at this time of the year .
You probably have some pictures of this joker . There has to be some things that he has worn time and time again . ie wrist watch, same footwear , coat
People like these are not the brightest creatures of habit .
Since he has returned and most likely will return again for what he feels are free cameras and stuff, we are going to give him the opportunity to steal a good camera. We will have several Sheriff Dept Cameras spread out to cover all possibilities and get several pictures, when he walks in and steals the camera

Good job Darrel. This is getting interesting. Keep us updated. I hoped you did'nt tip him off when you put the dummy camera up there. I see thats an iron steps going up. Be a shame if someone cut the stringer halfway through. Someone might fall and hurt himself.
I am glad that you are getting closer to catching this SOB. I am willing to bet that you will find that he has been caught before and that is why he knows enough to wear a ski mask. With a little luck you may be able to get your equipment back. Keep an eye on craigs list and the local reminder. You may see your stuff for sale and you can end the chase from the other end.
Good luck and happy hunting.
