Got one the hard way!

Actually I think it got me!
For about the half of a second that I saw it I'm pretty sure it was a buck. It was last night and dark but I did go looking for it but never could find it. I might go back looking for it after work today. And after trying to deal with insurance on this matter.

 Dang they can make a mess can't they! :(
Glad no-one was hurt though.
I hit a small one a few weeks ago but it didn't do much to my truck. Wasn't moving to fast luckily.

Wow, glad you're okay!

The truly sad thing is that if that had been something like a 1975 Chevy pickup or a Delta 88, there'd probably only be a few scuff marks on the vehicle!
Now therefore take, I pray thee, thy weapons, thy quiver and thy bow, and go out to the field, and take me some venison; And make me savoury meat, such as I love, and bring it to me, that I may eat; that my soul may bless thee before I die. Gen 27:3-4

My wife hit one with her Dodge Neon several years ago. It buster her fender pretty bad and she said it ran off like nothing had happened. Came out fine on the insurance, just an extra hassel amonst all the others.

You need to use more cutting surface. :)

It's amazing how much damage you get from a fairly lite hit.

I am glad no one was hurt. Good luck on getting it fixed up. It's a hassle even if everything goes as planned.

That sucks man! Look at it like this......... It could have been worse. Just be thankful you don't have elk or moose down there.

I've been lucky and only hit 2. The first one I just tapped hard enough to knock it down and get the mud off my bumper. The second I hit doing about 45 mph in the wife's car. It was a little Mitsubishi Mirage and had done a nose dive from me slamming on the brakes. Busted the grill out, dented the hood, bent the antenna, hit the windshield, and flew on over the top of the car. The doe was busted up pretty bad but still alive. I put a bullet in her ear to end her suffering. :(

This definitely had me laughing!

Just dropped the truck off tonight at the collision center. No idea of the damage cost yet but will know in the next day or two.

Just had a buddy invite me to his property for a hunt tomorrow. I'm taking him up on it
