Shot placement question
I know I can hit a turkey in the ass, broadside or head using a broadhead. If it is the broadside shot where exactly is the shot placed? Is it where the dark part of the wing turns to brown or where the brown turns to striped? Is it the middle of the bird or a bit lower? I cant find a good picture of it anywhere that would show a bird in strut position with his wing dropped. Typical me just needs to be 100% sure and you guys answer all of my questions so well. I cant get out until Sat morning.

Are the boltcutters enough to do adequate damage? Or is it worth buying the X-Act? or another manufacturer???
Just curious, I may give it a shot one Sunday

Re: Shot placement question
With any one of those shots that Boo posted, you're either hitting the spine or the wing butt. Any way you go at it, the bird isn't going anywhere.

I am not sure, I got a pack of turkey tomahawks to try. I have never used a mechanical before. They are wider to cover a larger area. I just hope they dont damage my meat too muchFISH-ON wrote:Are the boltcutters enough to do adequate damage? Or is it worth buying the X-Act? or another manufacturer???

Re: Shot placement question
I don't see why any broadhead would not work. Always chose one that you are comfortable with, and flies where you expect it to.
