I've never lined up my broadheads to my vanes...big waste of time IMHO.

Lining up vanes wid blades is a waste of time & orings ain't needed if'en yer arrows be fletched right fer fixed bladed BH's
Re: Are there any tricks to tuning the bolt cutter broadhead
I have tried it both ways and never really noticed a difference

You might go crazy if you shoot a 2 or 4 blade broadhead

Go with the AZ bolt jig for blazers and leave the rest behind. I've robin hooded arrows at 60 with bolt cutter's out of stock firebolt's and a 200 lb. excal. No tuning required, inside of 50 it's a chip shot.

Spin test them to make sure everything is straight and then have at it. They should shoot very well for you, mine do.
