TET survivor 1968 and 69. Been in Law Enforcement of one kind or another
for most of my adult life. I plan on retiring sometime within the next year.
Married 45 yrs this December 26th, 1 child, a daughter. I live back in the woods
of East TN on 28 acres I own. Two 4 wheel drives, a Polaris Ranger and a Harley
Davidon Ultra Classic. If it all goes south, I think me and mine can make it.
became a cop, 1969 Washington DC Metro, we walked beats and didn't have
radios. Times sure have changed.
My supervisor (and friend) has been expounding the virtues of the Excalibur
for years now and I finally decided to pull the trigger on one of my own.
He's a member of this forum. UPS just delivered a brand new Exlipse XT. I won't have time to put it together tonight, I want to watch the video again and I get up at 0430 hours. If I get started, I won't stop; so it's best if I wait till this weekend. I can hardly wait. This little black beauty looks like it's going to be a blast to shoot. I have several deer rifles, RemingtonVTR in .308, a .308 Mauser, Marlin Lever Action 30-30 as well as a Rem 870 w/ full rifled bbl, a Hoyt bow and a S&W
.44 mag model 29 but this is my first Crossbow. When I retire, I plan on putting
all of them to near continuous use. Deer, hogs, turkey, coyotes; I plan on going
after them all.
Anyway, if any of you have any advise to offer before I start putting it together,
please reply.
Thanks in advance,
Dano
