Where is the pictures? Make sure both are tagged. I here stories of people getting visits from CO from computer stories. Double lungs both deer? In 3 hours you walked home, called a friend, came on computer to tell us, went back out and dragged two deer, which you can only drag 10 feet at a time, one biggest doe from real thick brush that ran 150 yards, field dressed them, walk back to house again, call another friend to come and pickup the deer and tell us you found them. Go back out to the deer and your main concern was to come here to post to let us know. How sweat. And this was all done lawfully I image also. You are good to do all that activity in 3 hours.

For the naysayers and doubters:

With my friend coming with me to took 15 minutes to trail both deer. One was 35yds from where we parked The big one was closer to 200 yds How the arrows managed to go through the lungs of the second one is beyond me . My friends and I were surprised by that! I field dressed the big one and my friend dragged it out to the truck for me, while I field dressed the smaller one. Second friend got there and dragged the small one out. Whole deal took less than an hour and a half. Both deer were legally tagged. I DO NOT violate game laws; intentionally!!
I live less than 3 miles from where I hunt, my friend who always helps me lives
kiddy corner from me. I shot the deer about 2:20 and was home with the big deer at 6:30.
I don't take pictures of any critters unless they are exceptionally good trophys
I don't need pictures to prove what happened and I don't usually justify what I have done

I don't know why I bother to post anything here. There seems to always somebody who has to make snide remarks and innuedos.

Another lesson learned: I won't bother posting about my hunts or anything else on this forum!

Here we go again. Why do you two insist on kickin this man in the groin at every chance? I assure ya that your not making him look bad.

I seriously doubt the story has been frabricated like you two imply. Little deer behind big deer. Ya lung shots on both are possible. Time frame is reasonable too

A buddy hunting behind the house with me a few years ago shot a big doe that was standing in a pack of deer. Shot it with my 270. Dropped the doe, but he said a small buck standing behind the doe flopped around a minute and ran. After a couple of hours I got the dog and we trailed and trailed and trailed and all we found was a small smudge mark of blood. I saw a buck a couple of years later that had a badly boogered up front leg but otherwise ok and wondered if it was the same one.

Glad you found them both. :)

Congats on your harvest!!!! At least you only have to clean one bolt & bh. Great story about your hunt. I look forward to reading all of the stories that are posted on this forum. You can't please all the people all the time!!!! I remember a hunt my father was on in NY about 35yrs ago. He was hunting with his brother inlaw out of state as we are from Canada. A big buck came out to his stand and was standing broad side. He came up with his gun, took aim, puled trigger and at that second the buck jumped and coarse what was standing behind the buck was a doe. Down she went. Good thing they had a doe tag. Thats just how quick things can happen.

I arrowed 2 pigs through a heart and lungs and have video footage of it. Consider how freaking small their vitals and the likelyhood of that happening!

Congratulations! Hunt long enough and very interesting things do happen. I guess a double double lung shot would technically be called a quadruple lung shot? Enjoy the harvest.
