OK! Got out between showers and got to shot at 20-30 and 40 yards. On the 40 yard target I got one definite flyer.

Try the 2 different vanes as cock vane. If it does not fall in line then it's a cull.

I already did that. Still hitting low at 30-40. Funny thing is that I found every vane on each arrow has the Blazer trademark printed on them except for one vane on the flyer. It is blank. The arrow weighs in with the others and spins well. I am going to play around with it and see if I can't get it to shoot. Are the ends squared?

I got out Christmas Eve day and got some testing in.

I used my arrows as a ref. point, im shooting GII's
at a total weight of 356 gr.
My 6 test arrows ave. about 418 gr. varying from 416
to 419.

At 20 yds there was very little diff. in poi.
As for pulling the arrows there was not much diff.
when it came to pulling them, if any thing the GII's came out at bit easier and for penetration they were about the same.


I did a few rounds at 50yds. and found the Eagles weren't that far of the GII's and grouped fairly well. i had 3 that I called flyers and 3 that were always very close. the three flyers were always closer to my GII, and the others were very consistent



again the penetration was almost the same and pulling was the same, with the GII's a little bit easier.
I will get out tomorrow and do some more shooting

Don just got back from the doctor today and I have the flu I felt like crap all day yesterday so I didn't even get out of the house. I will post some results and pics when I get healed up.

The flu sure is spreading fast, both my parents had it two weeks ago, my daughter 2am Christmas morning, and three of my friends have it right now, I am praying the flu shot I got works some kind of magic LOL

went out this morning and a light wind from R-l and shot the BEA at 50yds and sighted in with cock vane on the spine mark and were dead in line.just had to raise height a little and they were hitting dead center so then tryed cock vane to left and little circles are them . then shot cock vane to right and little squares are them. shot each arrow thee times each with a different cock vane.then the wind started to pick up some and I was froze and did not get to shoot the cock vane on the spine mark but when I sighted in this morning they were shooting great! I seen enough that I will be shooting with the cock vane on the spine mark .

I am another that is down with the Flu. Got to quit going to the relatives at Christmas cause all those squalling kids are sick every year. Heck of a Christmas/Birthday present. I rarely get sick and it only happens at the end of the year it seems. Have had to sit out the last three days of deer season. I think this will be the first Jan. 1st I have missed hunting in 25 years or so.

Hope to be back shooting in a day or two and will get some more reports and pictures up.

I got my one of my heavy benches set up at 80yds an shot a few to sight in. wind was picking up and blowing them off R-l from 2-4 inches but the height stayed close . a lot less drop than my 522gr slams. when the wind slowed a couple times they would hit in the bull .windy here every day! will get to shooting some groups with the BEA and slams soon . wind or not if I can keep them from blowing off my target! an also compare wind drift and drop.

I have been cooped up sick so yesterday I decided to play around with my one Flyer Black Eagle arrow. I was rubbing my fingers over the fletchings when I hit a raised spot of glue apparently missed when the original vanes were stripped off. So I stripped off the pink vanes Boo sent and really went to work getting all the dried up glue off the shaft. Once I felt it was smooth enough I fletched it back with some Orange blazers I have. Just got a chance to slip outside and shoot it while the sun peeked out for a few minutes. Only shot twice but hit the same hole both shots. No more flyers.

This was at 40 yards.



Now if this crud I got will go away I can do some shooting again.

out early to shoot at 80yds this morning an cold 26 degrees and light wind R-L . I shot the BEA arrows the first picture an super slams on the second.the heavy 522gr slams were less affected by the wind . the slams hit a lot lower even after moving my hha up to the next 10yd mark.they both shoot about the same place for L-R without wind and are deadly accurate with just a height difference.when an arrow can shoot with my slams and sometimes better it has to be one fine arrow!!!! I will try some more if I can ever get to shoot without the wind.my shooting was not the best this morning after walking out an back to the target then shooting right away before the wind picked up more.

I stripped the factory fletching off my Firebolts and refletched them with 2" Blazers to compare with the Black Eagles. Shot both at the same target using the same fieldpoints at 40 yards. Only difference is weight, the Firebolts come in at 357 grains. vs 418 for the Black Eagles. As you can see the Firebolts all hit high and a tad right. On both I shot one group of two arrows. Will probably not do that at 40 yds or less again.

There was some wind blowing. Not sure if was enough to throw the Firebolts off to the right or not. If so, it did not bother the Black Eagles.

Its been raining every other day for the last two weeks. The wind was calm today. I finally had a chance to get out and shoot today. The arrows im testing against are the stock firebolts. The bow im using is ibex smf w/ excal string. I shot about 30-35 bolts today at 50yards. Im using the same 100g target tips on all bolts. Firing from a rest. Both the firebolts and the executioners all had 1/2-3/4 of inch grouping at 50 yards. The executioners all shot 2-2 1/2 inch lower then the firebolts. As for removing them from a target, I did notice the executioners came out slightly easier. But after about 5 shots with each arrow the logo on all the executioners are starting to show signs of wear like the logo is being rubbed off. The most important thing that i seen with the executioners over the firebolts is they go into my target 1 3/4- 2 inches deeper then the firbolt. I set up a new target for my final 4 shots and took some pics today.

I know I put one wrap on upside down but still flys the same.
