I shot these BEA in a breeze coming from behind me an to the right at times at 80yds. I was excited after seeing the first two shots from each arrow and drew a circle around them an you can see why! then the wind picked up a little an I blowed it! I shoot all 5 arrows at one time shooting each at there number dot then repeat.I would bet if the wind had not picked up 3-4-5 would have been in with the others. sorting arrows 3-4-5 would be top notch arrows that would be hard to beat!!!! these arrows are better shooters than I am !!!! praying for a perfect calm day!!!!!

So from what happened at Boofest Fest and now these results we know you can run over an Excal and have it still shoot well, and you can also installed the limbs backwards and still shoot well lol

Finally got over the Crud during the holidays, since I didn't get a flu shot this year doc says I could catch the flu again not too happy about that at all. But I did get my arrows scraped down and cleaned today and finished fletching them. Weather is supposed to be great tomorrow so I'll be posted pics of the arrows and shooting progress. Just glad to be stirring around again.

Looks like some great results so far can't wait to try them out.

Thanks for letting me know. I just got them flipped around. Im going to order a new string tonight and get back to testing. The sting is starting to come apart on the ends after over 70 shots.

as I look back an compare my best 50 yd group targets and compare poi of the arrows the number 1-2 are off a little in poi compared to 3-4-5 and they all shot great . you take 3 arrows out of 5 that shoot that close in poi an that,s one heck of an average. I,m mostly lucky to get that many from a dozen great shafts and have to divide them into little groups that have close the same poi. 2 out of the three are .003 so there,s nothing wrong with the .003 for me if they have the spine mark. from my shooting so far I don,t see getting a better shooting arrow for the money or for any amount of money. if anyone has better shooting arrows than these black eagles I would sure like to try them!!!!!!

I thought maybe Excal was working on some new "reverse limb" technology or something.

I'm thinkin' you should insist on a new string for free! No doubt it failed prematurely due to the limbs being installed wrong!

Well got out and tested the Great Looking Black Eagles today and 5 out of 6 shot great. I had 1 arrow that would consistently shoot 3 1/2 inches right at 50 yards every time it didn't matter which vane was turned as the cock vane. I had 1 other arrow at the 30 yard group that shot left but i switched cock vanes and then it shot good. It was calm today with little wind and 58 Degrees. I started shooting at 30 yards and shot groups at 30, 40, and 50. So it seemed there was only 1 arrow that I would cull out of the 6. The arrows weighed in at an average of 436.7 grs. with the 2 inch blazers and wraps. I fletched these arrows with my Arizona Mini Fletch which puts a 6 degree right helical on the arrow. I didn't move my scope at 40 yards as you can see the groups were right under the bullseye. I did test these arrows at 30 yards against my Gold Tip Laser II's and they shot just as good. All arrows were shot from my Vortex into my 4 foot Looper target. When testing out they pulled out of the target the Black Eagle arrows pulled out as easy as my Gold Tips. Thanks so much Don for giving us the opportunity to get some free arrows for very little work.

Hester, did you shoot your GTIIs to 50 yards to compare them to the BEAs?
I should have told those that wanted wraps that the white part should be at the rear. It is refective! Check it out at night with a light. Should make arrow recovery easier.

To all testers, I will want another thing done. The white paint mark is a spine reference point. So when you are all done I'd like you to mix up the cock vane to different positions and shoot at least one group to 50 yards. I think the shafts are "over spined" which is good if it is. If they are moving the cock feather should make little to no difference in the POI and grouping. If they are underspined then the POI and grouping will be very different.
Some of you testers got 0.001" shafts and some got 0.003" shafts. I will reveal who got what at the end of this thread.
Is there anything that anyone else thinks should be done in this test?

One things for sure Excalibur bows rule! You guys are really good shooters judging by what I see so far but Frank, you are amazing!
