How to become an Excalibur Dealer. HELP

Post by snappybman »

Hey everyone,

I have a neighbor of mine looking to become an Excalibur Dealer. I think it's about time in my opinion.
He's has well over 10 older model Excal bows he tries and sell on consignment for people. He then will buy the new ones for people. He maintains bows for people, gets accessories for them and sets them up. He even finds hunting land for people. Seriously who does that. I asked him one day on why he doesn't become a dealer. He said he never thought about it.

He is a great guy and avid bow hunter. So I thought I would get some information for him from this forum. After I told him about it he got really motivated but really wants to know what else Excalibur might be looking for because the request form is very general.

For the dealers and non-dealers on this forum I was hoping you could help us out. What are some requirements that might be vital to become an Excal Dealer? Thanks in advance. Just some background info. He is 42 retired and lives in Eastern Ontario Canada. And he would have a website for sure. (I told him I would set it up for him)

Thanks
Normous

Under "Support" on the left side of the page is an area called "Become a Dealer".

Between Smith Falls and Carleton Place. Where we live we have a huge hunting population but I'd say 95% of people hate going to big cities for hunting supplies. I'm one of them. I prefer to order online. It's funny though, me neighbor probably got alot of old farmers into crossbow hunting. His place is the unofficial weighing station for alot of camps around here.

42 and retired, wow, I'd definitely be a home made cooky eating machine. :)

I order almost everything online also. Seems the shops never have what I want and the guys working in there are annoying and know less than i do. Used to be a great little mom & pop gunsmith shop close by but they closed.

I tried emailing Excal about selling online here, they never got back to me, not a word, I guess they are only interested in the big guys, still a shame, I could sell them here for sure. their loss.

Most online sales from home are notorious for very poor longevity, limited
inventory and lack of customer service. Wanting to be a dealer is one thing, having the financial resources and commitment of time and support to pull it off is quite another. I'm guessing Excalibur's decision to pass may well be related to to the limited feasibility of your friend's business plan.
