All this over one stinking screw hole?

Threads like this usually follow the ones about how great a bow is, and they can't keep up with production.
We will be bringing 3 more Excaliburs in to our home today, but for the Matrix, I will be patient.
With the American influence on the bows these days I am sure Excalibur will be introducing new lines at greater rate than they did in the past. Just a hunch though.

Issues are small and will be taken care of.
For me, I don't put a quiver on my bow anyway. I went with a hip quiver a long time ago, just for less weight on the bow.
If you are having second thoughts on posting here before contacting Dave at Wyvern Creation [your dealer] then don't worry about it as you are not the first and won't be the last.
Small issues are found almost on all bows these days.
How your dealer and the company handle them is all that counts in the end.
Personally, I don't buy any firearm this close to a hunting season no matter who makes that equipment.
In the end. all things will be fine so know that there is no need to panic.
Have a safe trip and good luck hunting this season.

I may sound a little rough here but I have to agree with Boo..its a stinkin screw hole. not a part for a heart moniter..dang it just makes me wonder how a guy can get all bent out of shape over something so easy to fix .
grated I would grip a little if it was mine but It wouldn't slow me down ..in the time it took him to post his problem most guy would have fixed the hole and aready killed and arrow or two
A quick update: just had a conversation with David from Wyvern. Very nice guy and straight shooter as you guys mentioned. Offered a couple of solutions dealing with the screw issue. I'll try to tap it per his suggestion and see if this works. He fully stand behind the bow he's selling.
So at least the Warranty part is playing out great thus far. Also he assured me that the "knot" on the serving is normal and sometimes it just looks bad.
In case Excal's reading this, I do want to offer a suggestion (or hope): with the increasing popularity of a great product, often the demands would over-ride caution of quality control. I hope Excal won't fall into that trap and maintain a high standard throughout, like you've been doing so successfully over the years. That'll be doing the community, and yourself (and games actually), a big favor.

In the spirit of good will, then you could edit out the part about not top quality in your thread title.

im really surprised the problem still exists. thought they would have corrected it by now. i had problems with mine too. i believe the issue is the hole in the mount has to to be opened up.judging by the way you said the screw tilts i dont think its a boogered thread. the screw needs a little extra space to line up with the hole. i would look it over good before you start drilling or tapping. much easier to open up the plastic hole in the mount then to play around with the aluminun rail holes.Excalibur needs to make a short video on a fix if they arent planning to redesign things. im surprised the dealers dont know about it. ive seen this several times.that being said i tend to leave any extra parts off my xbows. i carry my quiver mostly. my guess is that you need to open the hole a little. call Danny!
Will,
That little bump is more noticeable because Danny is making the new strings using .036 Angel Majesty for the serving. It is the largest and best on the market. It does make a bigger bump though.
Sorry to hear of yer troubles, & thats why on the 1st yr made Matrix will have bugs! I don't like bugs, so i shoot an older proven model Vixen, faster than a speedin Train & deadly!
