Canadian Thanksgiving day buck
Got this guy @ 7:30am this morning.
My hunt lasted about 2min. I got to my ground blind location & heard him coming out of the corn 10 yards behind me. I sent the rage 2 blade from my Matrix 355 on it's way & the rest is history. He is all processed & in the fridge as it was a warm day here in Sothern Ontario.
The best part about this was a monster 10 point came strolling by me 5min later @ 15 yards & all I could do is watch him walk as I only have one buck tag & I knew my buck was already down. Oh well he will be even bigger next year if he makes it through this hunting season.
Cheers

Great Job. Nice buck. You never know. Last year I passed on a 4pt. on my first hunt and never saw another buck the rest of the year. Were you hunting from a tent blind or home made?

I just pick a nice looking blown down tree & park it for the morning. Seems to work for me. Thia is x-bow deer#7 from the ground & I only got one in a tree stand with the Excal. I am not a big fan of tree stands...

Congrats! Great looking animal. Good work on a short hunt. Lots of work after-the-fact though. Dragging, hanging, skinning, butchering etc etc. it's all worth it when it's on the table!

Congratulations on the quick hunt!
Sure makes up for all those long hours and days on stand when nothing comes by.
Should be great eating.
