Congratulations on the buck!
I used Jak-Hammers for years and they usually produced a devastating wound. I even took one buck I hit in the liver (he moved as I puller the trigger) that went down in sight (less that 35 yards)! I almost took one front leg (off side) completely off a doe with one, too!
Then "Murphy" finally tampered with my quiver.
When I went from a Vixen to an Exocet (175# and later a Phoenix) I had to start double banding to keep the blades closed in flight. I finally put one through a buck (luckily a heart shot) that failed to open. When I recovered the arrow the blades were still banded closed!

I did recover that buck, but I went back to fixed blades after that. Still have to scratch my head and wonder when thinking about that shot. I normally ho for a double lung shot and that was the first (and only) time I ever deliberately tried a heart shot. Conditions were perfect (exactly the yardage I was sighted in at and a perfect broadside on a calm deer) and for some reason the little voice in my head told me to shoot for the heart.

That buck had about a 7/8" hole through his heart when I field dressed him.
