It was a very frustrating hunting season for me this year. All small bucks and does during archery season. I finally shot 2 doe in Delaware,but no bucks. Gun season came around and the same thing 4 point, spike and 10 doe the first day. Due to work and family obligations I didn't get out til the last day.
It took me an hour to get to my stand on the last day. Due to the snow and the slipping and sliding on my 600yd walk up the steep hill. I get to the stand at 6:50 am. Climb the tree and get my safety strap on. My wife texts at 6:57 saying she is going shopping.I'm texting her back and just trying to cool down a little. I look up at the flat above me and see movement. Shove the phone back in my pocket and reach for my gun. 3 deer are working their way down to my left about 75 yds away. I'm left handed and get stopped by the tree to get on them. I spin around to the left of the tree and get on the lead deer. Much to my surprise it's a nice 8 pointer that I had on one of my trail cams. I stop him and shoot. He goes about 30 yds and starts to wobble and then falls over backwards. The other 2 deer are a spike and doe. I still have a doe tag in my pocket and get on her. I'm looking at her thru the scope. Then I lower my gun and tell her " It's your lucky Day momma" and she takes off. I unload my gun and start tying it up to lower it to the ground. I check my watch and it's only 7:05. The 4 pointer is still standing there at about 40 yds as I climb down. I snort wheeze at him and he takes off after the doe. That had to be one of the most exciting 10 mins I ever had on stand.

parkersxs, this is a York co Buck. Near Hellam. I might go back down to DE yet again. Their season runs til the end of January, but I will be picky down there. I will be down there for spring gobbler season, lots of turkey on the farm we lease.
