It's a pig. I can do it but keep in mind that I'm 5'3" and I have pretty serious pain when my spine is compressed. I use the crank exclusively and I am happy to do so. I recently had Bones cock the bow and he had no trouble cocking the bow in one stroke.

I got 408 with a 350 gr arrow. Never chronographed it with anything else because I wasn't curious. I only chronpraphed the 350 to see if it lived up to claims.

Edited to correct speed from 308 to 408 ft/sec.

Yup !! I did try it , It's not much more than the 380, but there is a difference , marginal. Rope cocker length is a key for this beast ( find your preferred sweet spot ).

For me I fond a big difference between my 380 and the 405 but Bones made it look easy. I'm guessing but I think Bones is about 5'10" and he's not particularly bulky.

Thanks Boo for Giving us some info on the Mega . Do they plan to use a different scope on the mega or the same tact zone as on the other Matrix bows ?

To my knowledge it's bare bow and a package. I am sure they will not use the Tactzone on the package.

The 405 uses the same BCY Dynaflight 97 string shared by the 355/380 according to the spec sheet. The Twilight DLX is packaged scope for the Mega.

I imagine the 400 would be acceptable to cock. I found the 380 much easier to cock than the equinox due to the shorter stroke. But the first thing I had to do was throw the insufficient length excal rope away, and replace it with a full length rope where the hooks could actually reach the string. I don't know what excal were thinking there supplying a cocking rope 4" short of reaching the string? With a full length rope your back is not bent right over when you're reaching the end of the cocking stroke, so there is no back strain.

I have about 700 shots on my string and it looks pristine! All Matrix strings are the same.
I am not the only field tester and I got the green light to talk about it earlier today.
