Deer Processin Durin Hot Temps
We all knowed that insects are very much a bother, as in Fly eggs! Yellowjackets want to help them selves to yer deer meat. I don't have a walk-in cooler nor a freezer. So this yr i have gotten ready fer this comin season. I have a 100' ext. cord & my Gen. & a dang good strong blown Fan to keep them pests off me deer while i hide them & get them into cut-up pieces to take to town n dump 40lbs of ice on top in my big cooler. So i will be able to hunt more durin the heat

What good brand of game bags do y'all use ?
Re: Deer Processin Durin Hot Temps
Yea, I hate when you want to go to the local diner for a burger and fries after sitting in the stand all morning but you have to run home because somebody killed a deer and the blow flies are going crazy.

A cotton pillowcase can also be used-------ask before you use some !

Hot or cold weather, I use the same procedure, debone while hanging ( I use a hitch mounted hoist), put in a big cooler with a layer of ice on the bottom, cover with ice. Next day, drain the bloody water and add more ice. I do this for 2 or 3 days. Surprising how much blood this draws out of the meat, makes it easier to trim, and makes it taste a bunch better.
