Mole Skin
I have used mole skin on my traditional vertical recurves in the past to help silence string slap. I put it close to the tips were the string touches the limbs. I have been using excaliburs since 2008 and never thought of trying it until now. I have and equinox with disapater pads and a 330 with Dan Miller bumpers do you think the mole skin could help more?
Thanks Big D

Re: Mole Skin
Mole skin always stayed put near the limb ends to combat string slap on my #200 and #225 Excaliburs but my M380's seemed to overpower then and knock them off in short order.

I have some minor hearing loss from 25 years working in a loud factory. To be honest I noticed no difference in sound reduction.

Re: Mole Skin
I used moleskin on my old limbs and am currently using Muffs Fuzzy Stuff (similar to moleskin) on my M380. It's staying on no problem and I shoot a lot by anyone's standards. I didn't check the before and after on the decibel meter so I can't tell you if it's actually quieter but how I see it it's not louder and it's not hurting anything so there you go.

Re: Mole Skin
OMP has a new product coming out soon. These are pads that you stick on the inside of the limbs to snub the string same as the bumpers, and they are supposed to deaden the string slapping the inside of the limbs. So far just rumbling about them, but might be something that works!
