A number of months ago I mentioned to my neighbour that I wanted to find a vintage John Deere fridge to refinish for my hunting room (I'm a farm boy and grew up on a 600 acre farm and according to my dad if it was anything other than JD green it had better be passing through).
Well I came home from work one afternoon and found this sitting in my driveway with a note attached to it - "It's not a JD but its a fridge that should be a tractor". It was a 1949 International Harvester fridge.

The original manufacturers instructions were still on the door and I managed to save them

I found out later that the "bour" knew that my OCD would kick in and I would tackle the project ... He was right. The fridge had been outside for several years and it was in pretty rough shape.
I stripped the fridge down to its bare essential and rebuilt it. I had to McGuiver a number of parts that were missing and here is what I ended up with .... Finished product and ready for my hunting room ...

Cheers,
Chester
