Matrix 380 Loose scope mount?

Hey folks. Quick question (I hope). Been shooting a lot lately and finally getting to the point where I believe I am just about ready for the Woods! Then, all of a sudden, my shots started getting lower and lower. Thought maybe it was fatigue so backed off. Come to notice that the entire scope mount is as loose as a goose and I could move it freely by about 3 / 16" up and down...

Easy fix, just tightened the four bolts on either side and may need to tweak the scope a hair but all is well. Question is whether or not this is normal or if I need to be aware of something here? Any advice? Thanks guys!

Mike , It seems a lot of 380 shooters are having screws loosen up. Put a dab of blue loctite and you should be good to go . You might want to check the rest of your screws also .

Blue loc-tite all 4 screws.My 355 had the same issue.

Just picked up some today to do my 405 before it starts to happen No problems so far but its inevitable with so much power

Locktite Blue 242, it makes all the difference. Let it set up over night. Lot's of folks change the screws out too, they have a very shallow wrench slot.

Had my 380 for a month and several bolts started coming loose. Blue Loctite on all the bolts and it fixed the prob. Been a year now and no additions loosening.

I had the exact same thing happen on my 380... the 4 scope rail screws worked loose and my POI started getting lower and lower.

na it's perfectly normal all 380 owners have a loose screw!!!

If you haven't loc-tited the two trigger screws, you will. same symptoms as a loose mount, just harder to find/figure out

I've ordered some stainless torx head screws for my own 405. I will have surplus screws and I will offer them at cost to others, once I get set up. No retailer sell just FOUR of them!!

I installed #20 Torx pan head 8-32 screws as upgraded replacements.
