Remember Herter's catalogs? I used to spend hours in it reading about their "worlds best" everything. Ordered quite a few cedar arrows from them. Never got a bow from them though. My eyes were always on the Bear Grizzly recurve.

Started with a little 25 lb. fiberglass bow then a root recurve in the seventies that would have been used longer if not stolen in the early eighties. She was long though,l.o.l..

Wow!------------talk about a trip down memory lane --- awesome stuff!
My first bow was a simple stick bow-- no shelf -- shot off the top bottom of my thumb -- then bought one of the first compounds in Colorado -- 4 wheel Jennings -- still have it ---umpteen vertical bows and demised critter since then -- now venturing into the world of horizontal shaft slingers --- oboy!
Thanks for the memories

Remember the first "Real Tree" camo!  How about painted dots on the bow sights, no fiber optics.
Hoosiers, remember we had so many deer hunters in the early 80's that you had to sign up, and pay for a stamp for self addressed envelope to hopefully get drawn for opening weekend of gun season?
Remember Warren & Sweat had the best climbers on the market with Marine Plywood platforms!
Remember the waist band safety straps!
I still have a Browning Bush Master compound bow in Leaf camo!

Thanks for the trip back in time, would not change a thing! :D

Remember the Baker climbing treestands. A V for the top climber and a V for the bottom stand. Lift the top and pull it up with your feet. A HUGE 12x15 inch platform and you better stand on the front part of the stand or down you go. Still can remember chatering up and down tree's with that stand. Ah, to be young. :D

Remember when I was a kid in So. Il squirrel hunting in my grandpa's woods and a doe walked past me at about 10 yds. That was the 1st deer I ever saw at the farm. I was so excited I ran back to the house and told everyone what I had seen but no one really believed me. Now its nothing to see a dozen or more in the beans every evening.
