For years I've had the idea floating in my head of making a call for several species that could be converted from one to another by just switching reeds.
Finally took a step in that direction buy assembling some parts:
(call body, deer reed, duck reed, crow reed)

If I want a deer call I simply install the deer reed:

Or if I want duck:

Or crow:

Next is to turn & fit an insert for a predator call reed (probably similar to the crow reed insert on the mouthpiece end).

Then I'll make protective covers for the spare reeds when they aren't in the call.
I'll try to get out and test them this fall, who knows I may eventually make up some kits for sale after I'm sure they will hold up in use.
