I live close to Mt. Airy which is about 2 hours from Raleigh , would be glad to take a look at it if you don't mind the drive . No expert by any means but might see something that got over looked at the shop . :D

Chris, welcome to the forum, and Excalibur crossbows. If you could meet up with 8pt. it would be worth the drive. He is a good man, and has some knowledge to share. These guys are good folk, and are only trying to help. Come on in with an open mind, and these guys will guide you to success! You have one of the most accurate hunting tools you could get in your hands, and I know these are not cheap. It can be frustrating when things don't go without a hitch, but the best resource available is right here.

Hi and welcome to the forum. Sorry you're having such a rough start. Don't feel badly, when I first got my M380 I had a heck of a time. I was told this from the beginning. Sooo.....make sure your screws are all tight. The scope mount screws are notorious for rattling loose. I also recommend using a medium strength blue loktight on the threads and leaving overnight to cure. When i finally did this my issues all went away. Anyway, I would start with that and see how it goes. Don't sweat it, as was mentioned before, process of elimination and you'll be driving tacks with that bow. And again, welcome. Don't hesitate to post any questions you have. We're here to help each other. :D

Buzrdluck, first off,let me welcome you to the forum. Please refer back to your last sentence. "please what am I missing." Being new to this forum,I can see where you might think that you are being treated like an idiot. Vixenmaster meant no harm in any of his statements. Once you are around on this site for a bit,you will get a really good feel for each members own personality. Several of the posters that responded to your problem have decades of crossbow knowledge. Boo had several questions concerning your problem but I didn't see any response to his questions. Trust me when I tell you, many folks (including myself) consider Boo to be a God like source of crossbow knowledge and talent. The reason for all the stupid questions is to eliminate each possible cause of your problems. I have no idea what kind of scope or mounting system that you are shooting, but my gut feeling is that you have a loose screw on the mount or one of the rings. If you know how to post pics, that would also help us assist you. Crossbows can be like wives. Sometimes it takes a little sweet talk to get them to perform exactly to your liking. You bought the best crossbow on the market. If you'll let us,we will help you make it the best shooting bow you ever owned.

As several have mentioned, it's a process of elimination. Check the bow and make sure all screws and bolts are tight. Loose screws on the scope rail or trigger are known to cause accuracy issues.
Put your bow on a solid rest and place a level across the rail of your bow. Get it as perfectly level as you can. Hang a plumb-bob several yards in front of the bow and look through the scope. THe vertical crosshair should line up with the plumb bob string. If not, loosen scope rings and rotate scope until it does. A mis-aligned scope may shoot fine at short distances but at longer yardages it may give you problems.
Bloodline xbow bolts measure .34375 OD. For comparison, Black Eagle Executioners and Zombies measure .346 and my Excalibur Firebolts measure .348. Boo asked this but I didn't see you answer...What kind of vanes are on your bolts? Maybe the combination of a slightly smaller diameter arrow sitting lower in the rail channel along with taller vanes might be causing the cock vane to hit the stirrup, that can sure give you erratic accuracy. If possible, shoot some different bolts and see if you still have the same problem.
Welcome to the forum, and the more info you can provide the better folks here can help.

I sent Chris my phone number. If you would like to call me, and him, pm us. Chris is frustrated to the point of giving up, hopefully he'll try some of tips offers by us, answer a few questions, and get happy about his purchase!
Vixenmaster is a good guy, Boo as well, Chris, let's just talk crossbow for now, after you're fixed up, we can talk about trophies, and stuff.
Hang in there.
