Re: loc-tite ?
Yes, I apply lok tite to those bolts. I actually use a tap and dye set to clean my threads and use blue (medium strength) lok-tite.

Re: loc-tite ?
For everything in the front end I use Green Loctite #290. It is a post assembly Loctite and is a medium to high strength. For all other applications, I use nothing or Blue Loctite.

Re: loc-tite ?
i used locktite blue and ended up having to drill all but two bolt heads off and was lucky enough to get a pair of vice grips to take the remaining shafts out; i say use at ur own peril. i just check for tightness now and so far nothing has loosened up, just my experience.
better an overkill than an underkill

Be safe and use PURPLE, or just a tad of blue. Most forks use too much and it makes it permanent after it sets up.

I know I'm different, but....Deep six the loctite, clean and degrease all your screws and use 100% clear silicone ( caulk ) on the male screws. It drys to a rubber like consistency and you wont have screws backing out. But....if you want to remove the screw just take it out. just that simple. Life is too short to make it hard on yourself. jmo
