Check Your Lighted Nock
Was out shooting some arrows today and had some new Excal Firebolts with luminocks. After shooting the luminocks I extinguished them as per the instructions and put them away. Just went down stairs now to get a beer and could see some very faint glows coming from the luminocks that I could not see during the daylight. Had to wiggle them a little more till they went completely out. Just a heads up to check your nocks in a dark room to insure they are in fact out and not using up you expensive batteries.

....I think you need Dan Miller's Arra Puller....a great investment to take care of shutting down those Lumenocks....I loved using it this weekend at the range....
With that said, It does pay to be safe and double check in the dark...that's why I sleep with mine (just kidding!)

Re: Check Your Lighted Nock
Danny's arra pullers are great for both jobs !
Re: Check Your Lighted Nock
A short 3 or 4 " piece of 2413 aluminum shaft work great to turn off a Lumenok

Re: Check Your Lighted Nock
I have a set of Danny Millers Arra Pullers coming from Don (Boo). I expect they will be in this week. That's a bonus that they turn off luminocks also.

1/8" gap? ....that seems like an awful lot. I certainly wouldn't recommend shooting the arrow like that. Maybe store them away with the big gap and tighten them up when shooting.JPjunkie wrote:You want to put an 1/8 gap from end of shaft when your done Heard that on here somewhere

....absolutely NOT!!!!....IMHO they are garbage....In fact, I have the lumenok version which appears to be exactly the same as the 10Pt....and it is a piece of junk....the inserts come out and it does not work....It sits in my case gathering dust....the Danny Miller Arra Puller is an absolute MUST!!!!

Re: Check Your Lighted Nock
I have had this same problem with my Diablo lumenocks. I know that it is likely to do with the operation of them, but it would be nice if they were easier to turn off.

You are placing a .301 tube into a .300 shaft so of course they are tight.Yolo wrote:I have had this same problem with my Diablo lumenocks. I know that it is likely to do with the operation of them, but it would be nice if they were easier to turn off.
I shave mine down a tad and can turn them off using finger pressure. Just be careful to not remove too much plastic or they will turn themselves off by bouncing out. You will want them to where you can barely move them using your fingers. I am not going to carry pliers hunting with me........

That was meant for storage of course you would close the gap before shooting sorry I didn't clarifypaulaboutform wrote:1/8" gap? ....that seems like an awful lot.
