Do Excalibur strings EVER stop stretching ? ! ? !

I don't think I ever owned a string that actually stopped stretching . but they do slow down,,
I have a couple of Boo strings that have about stopped.
I mean I don't have to keep adjusting them but im sure they will move again.
That's why I love the Excals.you just throw a twist er two in em and move on .

Edit: I haven't twisted my Boo string in a few weeks. hunted this morn with it cocked for a few hours..then had my cocker on it all day. just checked.

I don't know if they ever stop stretching. The one FFF sting I bought stretched and stretched and stretched... I twisted it till it was tiny in diameter!!!! then I bought a Boo string and couldn't believe it! I think I adjusted it twice and it's still good. With that said I have one of Dannys on a jig to stretch it as I write this .

Thanks for all the input guys. So, in order to stretch the new string, (and I don't have a jig) could I hang the string using a hook on one loop and a suspended weight on the other. . .and how much weight? Any one have a method they use without having a jig or using the bow? ? ? Thanks again.

If you are using a FFF type, no no no on the hanging weight trick. It's been tried before [what hasn't] and came unraveled.

I used to use Danny's FFF's til I got a couple of Boo's. Back then, an FFF was $9.00 and I was going thru them one a week. Danny kept buggin me to reserve them [thru him] but I couldn't see it for $9 for a new one that I bought 4-5 at a crack, lol. Stupid me, eh?

When I got the Boo strings, serving life was the big deal, his lasted the longest. Since then Boo and Danny have 'conversed', don't know what the outcome o0f that is/was re serving life, but it's better........

I have the matrix 380 and use factory string, think it's the 1992 stock number. I know some variables are involved but on average how many shots should I get out of a string?

My opinion is 2 or 3 reservings , Something else you might want to watch is something that Danny Miller mentioned to me in a conversation about loop size , He said the loops shouldn't exceed 1.5 inches or they could possibly jump off the limb tip . So I would suggest measuring them occasionally to make sure they've not stretched to much and to apply wax .

Thanks Dave ! If you don't reserve I guess just shoot it and keep a eye on it for any abnormalities . Your serving will wear out before the string ! When the serving gone call Danny and he'll sell you another for 15 dollars .
