We will be seeing these soon !
Dieter just put some more of my photos on a disk for storeage . Here are some misc deer shots .....
A clover field set up with decoys ....
A three yard encounter down wind of a small button buck from a ground stand ....
Some deer that ran during drives ....
A doe that came out in the clover during the season opening week , a couple of years back .... I experimented with some calls and took a small 6 right under the tree .... the doe ended up being a great natural decoy ...
And here's a shot of CH hiking in the day he ended his dry spell last season ....
Man .... I can hardly wait .... another season .... just 37 days away !!!

striper : When is opening day and how long is your season ? .... our opener is Oct 1st and ends Dec 31st .... with a couple of 5 day interuptions for the shotgun weeks ...
devilsedge : I hear ya ... the only thing that keeps my outdoor appetite in check is getting out preping stands etc. , and looking at pic's from previous seasons .... something about a deer walking by unaware , then taking it's picture at a moment when it's vitals are exposed for a shot .... gets the adrenaline going for the next encounter ....
Sandman : We'll have to get some pic's , this year at the GP .....
I can remember that small 6 like it was yesterday .... he hung up in the scrub cover under the tree , behind the stand .... he came in when I was testing some calls and watching the doe's reaction .... the wind was right , and it took a while to get my bow ( an early model Exocet 275 fps ) in position for the straight down shot without him seeing me ... I had an opening thru the branches below about the size of your fist , but I thought I could spine him .... the arrow hit just off center , drove thru dead center the top part of a rib thru the vitals and lodged in the bottom of a rib bone . The impact knocked him flat down to the ground , he managed to get to his feet and stumble another 25 yards and it was over ! I remember thinking .... what a devestating shot impact ! And that was with one of the original 275 fps Exocets .... now even the Vixen is 285 fps !!
AW : I wish I could make money doing this ... but I'd have to pan handle to get enough $$ to go hunting ! Photography don't pay much ...

Sorry!! Sorry!! My thread above just didn't work. Could someone please tell me how the hell a guy can quote a paragraph from an above thread and put it on my thread.
What I was trying to do was take a paragragh from R.J.'s post and reply to it on my.
Please step by step. These computers confuse the sh...t out of me.
Frustrated!!

(Finally, hopefully, did it right)
Anyway, I just wanted to tell you R.J. a friend of mine has an expensive camera which he took very nice shots of habitat, elk, flowers, etc. They were very clear, with all the parameters just perfect, then turned around and sold the negatives to a photography studio. One negative sold for $500.00 and several more for $250.00.
I've also seen people selling framed pictures in malls or nature, old farm equipment, homesteads, etc. etc.
This would not make you rich, but I think you'd for sure have spending money on hunting, or flowers for your wife. Just a thought.

GW : Here is a step by step to do a quote .
Hold the left mouse botton down then drag over and high light the words you want to copy .
With the words high lighted , hit " ctrl " then " C "
Then hit " quote " ( the quote button from the toolbar above the post box ) .
The quote button should have an astrick star in the top right corner of the button box .
Then click in the " Close tags "
This should work for ya ... because I just did it to do the above quote ...
BTW : ctrl , C , ctrl V , is the same as copy , and paste .
Mikey and I leave for Sask. on Nov. 17th or 18th ..... I hope to take lots of pictures then !! If we get some time ( tag out early ) we might try to drop in on ya. Maybe get a tour of your property and get some pictures as well !

Rick Ihave always liked the yearly books of the seasons you have done I bet most of the guy's on here might start taking more pictures now that they see how much better telling the story's can be .Your going to have to get a copy of the one with me I have a great idea for it.Anyways awsome pic's again.
I'd be glad to have both yourself and Mike. Once again, if you guys don't see something you like, don't just tag out because you have to. On my property there's some nice bucks. Make 150 pts. typical a mininum animal. Should expect to get at least that out my way. Last year a guy from Alberta shot a 182pt. not from from my land, although I didn't see it. But this is over a 6 day period.
This year Little Owl is hunting with me for the first time. I'll let him fill the freezer with Venison. I'll hold out for a whopper buck.
Cross those days out everyday on your calender R.J.
