After the info I got from Normous and Munch I've got my Fenix PD35 on order. Can't wait!

Surefire outdoorsman flashlights. Bought the single and double 123 battery lights years ago. Upgraded them to LED and they are serving me well. I use the small one mainly, and the bigger one for backup/trailing.

Re: What brand of flashlight do you use?
I have several (all Fenix), but usually use a Fenix headlamp for tracking at night. Actually have a couple different models, a single AA and a 4 AA model. The single AA headlamp is what I carry in my pack (with spare batteries) for tracking at night.
Have an E15 (single cr123a battery - 170 lumens on high) in my truck, and an E05 (single AAA battery - 85 lumens on high) that's always on my keyring.
Also have a new E35UE (18650 rechargable battery or 2-cr123a batteries - 360 lumens on high, 900 lumens on "burst") on order. It will also go in my hunting pack.

Re: What brand of flashlight do you use?
a light that is bright enough to blind you if you look at it
all depends what's the task, a headlamp or flashlight, tracking or for blinds?
one flashlight is not enough and if you spend more than 100$ for it then maybe you should discover eBay and its power of low price

Re: What brand of flashlight do you use?
I'm on my 2nd season with a Black Diamond Storm headlamp, I love it! Very bright, long battery life, not terribly expensive, love the hands-free ability.
