It's not that easy, most of string creep emanates from the wax the comes from the string material manufacturer. Of course wax is very sensitive to temperatures and when a string sits on a bow in the heat of the summer in a transport trailer it creeps like crazy. During sub zero winter months, the creep is almost non existent.

I believe the strings are being shortened going forward.

Your are talking about big store with maybe 2500 to 5000 items and crossbows being a very, very , very small part of their business.
There is no one here that could know, all there is to know, about all the inventor that they carry.
That's my opinion anyway.
I agree, they can not be "all knowing", but they do have a brain, and two ears. When someone comes along who DOES know the product, they should be smart enough to listen and heed the advice. However, I suppose, since most times they are "blowing smoke" up their customers' backside, they find it hard to trust someone who isn't and is only trying to educate them.

thank goodness I have a bow guy who sells bowtech and PSE. he recently became an Excalibur dealer and I bought the first one he sold. I can call/text him anytime and he knows his stuff. he takes the time to go over everything and then he takes you to his range to shoot. you don't leave till you're satisfied!! that means so much when you're dropping a grand on a new rig! he had sole Parker xbows in the past. no way I would buy any bow from BPS or similar store.
