Had a good morning
I was sitting in my stand just before 7:30 this morning when I looked up to my left and saw a deer standing about 30 yards away. She started coming and was followed by 2 or 3 more. Fortunately, the biggest one in the group came right to my corn and offered me a good shot. She was quartering toward me a little at about 16 yards. I put the crosshairs on her shoulder, took the shot, and she dropped right there. I reloaded my bow and she was still alive so I took another shot. It turned out that my first shot was a little high and hit her spine before stopping with the broadhead pushing out against her skin low behind the off-side shoulder.
