scope upgrade question, did you upgrade mounts too?

Think I will be upgrading the scope on my new matrix for next hunting season
New to crossbows, but so far I see it like this...

Lightweight is good
This is not a mountain rifle in 300 mag
Adding weight to a matrix is of no benefit

Anybody know the weight of factory rings and mounts on a matrix?
Did you guys upgrade upgrade mounts when getting a new scope?

Any opinions helpful, thanks...

Leupold Rifleman rings are light aluminum and made on Leupolds latest CNC equipment. Both the 1" and 30mm can be found under $20 online and are a great value for the money. I have them on my Excaliburs and my Muzzleloaders and wearing Leupold scopes, of course!

I went with Vortex 30mm mounts because the XB30 scope that I got came mounted on a rail that needed to be mounted on top of the Excal rail. The scope sat way too high with that set up. I took the scope off the XB30 rail and put it in the Vortex mounts which I then mounted to the Excal rail.
I got the low mounts which is what I like on all my rifles as well if I can get away with it. This eliminates the need for any cheek piece for me.
The Vortex mounts are super strong and easy to install with 2 screws to keep things tight on the top of each mount.

I use my CB for hunting only so when I upgraded to the Nikon Bolt Xr I also used Weaver Medium Tactical rings.
I also upgraded the scope rail screws to the Torx head that provide much better torque.
