I like to travel light & this case will fit in my pocket like a hanky!! LOL
Perfect for travelling to & from the stand to be legal before & after legal shooting hours.

I know your motive...........in Ontario you must have your (bows/firearms) in a case before/after legal light and the lightest/least bulky case enables you to deal with the bulk of a standard crossbow case. In AB we don't have any laws requiring bows or firearms to be in a case.....at any time.
When I feel I need to reduce the size of the package, I take the riser off the rail and put the two pieces into a soft sided ice fishing rod bag. Quiver and other stuff fits into it too...

Will a Micro or M380/405 scoped mainframe on a stock fit in that Cabelas bag? Is there enough height?
I see two sizes from Cabelas.ca, which would be best for a single Excalibur?

I put a scoped 330 in it with room to spare. It has two sides to it as well.....main frame on one side and riser/limbs on the other (padded in-between and the outside)

Thanks, this case is exactly what I am looking for, do you have the 8 rod case or the 12 rod?

LOL
If we said that in Ontario to an MNR officer we would have to open our wallet to the taxman & pay the loooooong dollar!

The 8 rod holder case is on sale for $30 right now at Cabelas.com. I have his and hers on the way

Don't know the size but I would be surprised if it could hold 8 let alone 12........must be the 8? Good deal you got there...........weakness for Cabela's (there are two in Edmonton).

Newbie Question having never taken apart an excalibur for travel. Is your scope/sight still zeroed in when you reassemble? I've avoided breaking mine down before for fear of messing up my mojo. (vert fear holdover)

I'm new to crossbows as well, but I have taken apart my 380 and I store it in a hard bow case. Then I set it up when I get to where I'm shooting, and my scope has pretty much stayed on target. It fits nicely in a bow case
I got the GamePlan Xbolt case from Dicks Sporting Goods for the Micro. It fits great ! I'm trying to include a photo. Hope it works !
