Crockpot Backstraps Ummmm

Post by vixenmaster »

I trimmed a whole backstrap n cut it up in 2" thick slices. I put it in the crockpot n turned it on high. Were all waitin on it my 4 furbabies n me. We all get equal portions about 1/2 to 3/4 lb each. My furbabies always share in the deer meat n none get left out. We have 4 more gal. freezer bags full of the backstraps.

I love some crock potted meat, but I also love BARK. So before the crock pot, or the pot, it better get some Maillard going on. :D

Its jus easier on me to slow cook them, i jus have too many chores right now is all. They will cook in their own juice. When i put taters or rice i add some water or broth in the bottom with some good seasonings. I also use beans n carrots celery beans cabbage brockley cauliflour all kinds of veggies. Were canning home made deerHash, so were really tied up all weekend. Going to can venison meat sauce. So 24 lbs of deerburger will ba canned. Have anudder 24 lbs to go in cannin. :D
