i kill three or four every fall with my exomax,i use 100 grain swackers they work fine, the key is good shot placement, there kill zone is little, like sew said if you can shoot them in the center of the back and get there spine and through there vitals, they die almost instantly.this is my favirite shot too.if you shoot one broadside look at there leg,go up were the base of the wing starts, shoot through there get there vitals plus try to take out a wing or two,the more of it you can break down the better.usually i wait for a relly good shot were i know this will happen, there will be no watching them fly or run off, this past fall was one of the few times were i killed one that the shot wasnt that good(it was a little far and real windy) i shot a bearded hen and when i hit it it made that loud smack as its been hit, there were about eight turkeys with it,they all flew including the one i hit.i watched as they flew off and lost site of which one i hit as the bow recoiled and they flew so quick.i was watching them go out of site when one was just clearing a pine it just folded up in mid air,and came crashing through the tree,it had a big gash that was down close to were its tail and wings meet.if it had made it on further it would have been hard to find,so hitting the vitals is key.as far as the nightmare goes you should be fine, just dont move!!!,they pick up movement better than any critter out there let them walk behind something if you have to move, and make sure no other turkey is looking at you.it only takes one to get spooked, make that dreaded putting sound and its game over quick! turkey huntings my favorite by far,the first time i went many years ago i was hooked instantly..good luck this spring.

paitence is what kills turkeys...
