slick trick vipertricks

Post by NCmtns380 »

Just wanted to find out if anyone on the forum is using this head and your results. I've used boltcutters on my exomax and upgraded to my 2nd matrix 380. Had the fever last year to purchase a 2014 Vrod so that 380 found a good home. After 1 season without it I had to get another. Planning on using this setup for spring turkey and I wanted to go with 100 grain head instead. Other option is a toxic head but I know the forum members shoot alot of the Slick Trick products. No one in my area of NC seems to sell them so I know someone must have used this head sometime. Thanks for the help with this.

I primarily shoot the 1 1/8 cut Magnums and Xbow tricks with zero issues from my Vortex and Micro. I've not tried the Vipers, but see no reason why you would have trouble. Just curious, why the Viper specifically? The Magnum or Standard would give more total cut?

Shot both slick trick mags 100 grain, and some of the viper tricks 100 grain, Took four deer and two hogs, pass through on all but one hog, longest track 45 yards, with an Ibex at 305 feet per second. Will be using them this year also...........

Great to hear from everyone what they're using. I wanted to go with the vipertricks for both turkeys and deer. I've used Rage in the past but I wanted a lighter fixed blade so I'll pick up a box of them and see how they shoot. Just waiting for my cube hybrid target and broadhead core to arrive. Doing some shed hunting this weekend since we've got some NY style winter weather headed to the NC mtns this weekend. Thanks for all the replies....
