Peter are you saying if we have to replace the "shoulder bolts" then using the fully threaded type like we used to is fine?

10=32x1 shoulder bolts are hard to find!

Not really, Just about any where that sells nuts and bolts, like lowes, home depot. Now in stainless steel and titanium might be a little more difficult.
