Took my 5 year old out today for his first partridge hunt. Spent most of the time picking him up off his feet. He tripped over everything including his own feet. Heard lots of birds but way to thick yet to see. One bird caught us both by surprise and I swung on him and took a shot, scared the liven daylights out of Brayden(my son). Turned around to see his eyes about this big He took his trusty toy side by side and filled the freezer full of T Rex's. There were times I could just step back and watch him and enjoy having him with me sharing this time together and making memories and dreaming of someday sitting with him on his first deer hunt.
Good huntin (Proud Dad) Butt.

Sounds like you've might better let Stinky(Braden) take a shot at that bird. You said he fell down alot. At least he could tell you how fresh the deer poop was. All kidding aside, your boy will be a great hunter someday.Maybe better than his ol'man but thats gunna be tuff.Too bad i could'nt crank out a son.It would have been fun to watch them grow up together and turn in to hunting buddies like us.Stupid rain.
And BUTT they do fly, I still hunt with my boys every now and then and have a Grandson 15 whom I plan on taking out with me he use the wolverine he likes it. He no get one last year so maybe this year will be his time. Time with your grandchildren go too fast also, seems like just yesterday he was a baby...tkstae wrote:Enjoy those special times, they pass all to quickly.
