That is what I figured had to be done to solve the problem I encountered.

That doesn't make sense. According to that picture those contacts will ride directly on this edge of the rail groove. To me it makes more sense to line up the contacts with the cock vane.

they are correct the contacts ride just above the rail . just put them in that way and you will be good. cock your bow and check for yourself.
W.M. if you like the lighted nock try the New Fletch Igniter (no contacts sticking out ) and they are on sale 3 for 20.00

Great info thanks for the Tip, I love to watch a lit nock hit a deer and then recover my arrow with ease.
