Question about leaving cocking rope on
Hello all. Purchased my Axiom SMF for Christmas last year, and am enjoying my first hunting season with it. I like to attach the cocking rope on my bow and leave it when I walk in and out to my stand. I'm wondering how long I can leave it on without bothering the limbs. It doesn't seem like it really puts much more stress than just the brace, but wanted to make sure. I have it sitting in my car with the cocking rope on right now ready for hunting tomorrow morning. Do I need to go take it off?
Thanks,
Michael
Thanks,
Michael

Re: Question about leaving cocking rope on
I always leave mine on, even after the season.

The only time my cocking rope is not on the string is when it's cocked.

Just remember to check your brace height once in awhile. With your cocking rope on all the time you may not notice if the string stretches.

Re: Question about leaving cocking rope on
I leave my cocking rope off and stored in my backpack. I'm concerned that it might fall off during the trip to my hunting spots. The brush, etc. I have to navigate through may catch on it and off it goes or so I thought.

Shorten it up a bit and it will never fall off. It will make cocking easier also.ko4nrbs wrote:I leave my cocking rope off and stored in my backpack. When left on the bow you never misplace it or leave it in the other pack .
