Anyone know if the the 2 screws that mount the trigger to the rail are the same length or are they short and long? May be reversed???? Never had my trigger out

darwal44 wrote:Hi, my name is Dennis from Peru. Recently I got back the trigger I sent to Excalibur to repair. I installed the trigger in the crossbow but something strange happened: Now I can't pull the string all the way up to reach the trigger. I have cocked this crossbow more than a hundred times without any problem. This is the first time I pull the string without to be able to reach the trigger, no matter how hard I pull.

What could be happening? The trigger is well installed and I'm using the cocking aid rope.
Well, it does look like the cocking rope could be shortened, but you say it was not an issue. Does the trigger latch work if you cock it with a pencil, allen wrench, or anything? Eliminate one thing at a time. I think you'll get better answers.

Adf is the anti dry fire. Not an issue since you do not have one installed on your bow

I say try your stringing aid and see if the stringer rope will when in place as if you were attempting to adjust the string will set the trigger latches.

As stated earlier the reason you returned the trigger was it would not latch so just maybe the problem you had before was not repaired.

Suspect by picture that you are getting far enough back . But latches are not setting.
If the Stringing Aid works. Then get someone else to try cocking it that are taller and stronger to confirm the same continues .to occur.

A side view picture would also be very helpful to see what position your trigger latches are in prior to attempting to cock.

I tried the trigger already with a screwdriver and it works properly. It seems Excalibur repair it well. And as I said before, I have cocked this bow more than a hundred times without problems. So I have the height and the strength.

Then try usng the Stringing Aid and see what happens.

I already activated the trigger using the Stringing Aid too, so the trigger is working good.
